“Text and Drive?”
I am sure we are all text and drive, but I do not really know the consequences. Some people say that texting and driving is almost as bad as drink driving, but what do you think? It is drunk as bad as sending an instant text message to your mother?
There was a study conducted in 2009 and 2010, which showed that 58% of adults and 66% of teens used their phones primarily for texting. Since then, more than half of Americans have cell phones, it’s pretty obvious they were going to take this phone with them when the units. The same study also showed that 34% of teens who use the phone for the text “send sms” while driving. 47% of adults said they text while driving, as well .. which is very interesting if you ask me. I mean, if adults are texting in front of their children, then of course the text to their children as they grow, you know?
In 2008, NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) is out with a report that left nearly 6,000 dead and more than half a million were injured because the drivers are concerned. Although the study focused primarily on text messages, I think it would be pretty good guess to say that this accident happened because someone was talking to other people.
Like any other driver problem, text messages usually involves some attention to the mental and physical health of a certain amount – this is the main reason why SMS and driving was banned in 28 countries.
The only real question remains: Is this SMS while driving is really as bad as drink driving? Is it so bad that the car will end up in salvage yards car if caught driving and texting? Although research is beginning to send text messages and practices, some people say texting while driving is even worse than drinking and driving! The main reason is that drivers see the road continue to concentrate on something else.
In tests carried out by the Transport Research Laboratory in London, know that when the driver was busy sending text messages, response times are slower and more prone to drift in and out of line. What I find curious is that he also noted that the speeds of heavy marijuana worse .. but why they test a person high on marijuana? I felt super silly to me.
The study concluded that the reaction time for those who are texting while driving is 35% worse than when driving without interruption. If they were on their way when they are drunk, reaction time is 12% worse than when the driver was very drunk and driving without interference. Another thing that we found: there is a significant reduction in the ability to maintain a safe distance between you and the car ahead of you when you SMS. the control wheel was dropped by a jump of 91% compared to drivers without interference.
Of course, if you’re not careful, then you should have spoiled the car lights or end up in rescue course in the car if it’s your first entry
